The Danz family comes from Lauscha, Germany, in the state of Thuringen. The first handblown glass eyes were made in 1830
there. They were based on the existing glass blowing technology in that area. Making an eye prosthetic in glass is an exacting art and science, requiring a high level of skill. These techniques had been passed down in the Danz family, with continual development and enhancement, and are now used to create custom fitted ocular prosthetics in modern plastic. The Danz family is proud to continue this tradition and provide you with superior fit and appearance.
